So today is Chips 3 week 'anniversary' with his new knee. He's doing very well and uses a cane when out and about, but uses nothing while getting around the house. The swelling has decreased as you can see and the color of the legs now match!! :-) He is going into work for short periods of time 2-4 hrs depending on how he feels. The bruising on the bottom of his foot is almost all gone, too. I forgot a story about when Chip was heading into get his staples out. As we were heading into the doctors office a mom and her young daughter (probably 5-6) were coming out. The little girl got a look at Chip's leg (he wore shorts for easy removal for the doctor) and her eyes got huge and made a wide berth around him. It was a really funny moment!

Chip just got back from PT (his favorite place to go each week) and he can bend from 0 to 119 degrees. They are still happy with his progress and gave him loads of new exercises that he just can't wait to do! lol
ReplyDeletelooking good! The last photo looked like he had a fake leg. glad to hear the great progress. Still can't believe how fast he is recovering. Thanks for all the updates!!!
ReplyDeleteWow! His leg is looking great so far. I'm sure his recovery will be much quicker as he has kept himself in good shape. Now that we are getting older, we can see how those things DO make a difference in certain situations.
ReplyDeleteGlad the recovery is going so well, I know it is frustrating and Chip is like me--wanting to push it and hurry the recovery. Oh yeah, could you not put the flash on when taking pictures of the leg--the glare off those white legs is killing me;)----Ken
